Michelle Olson graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.A. in both dance and anthropology. Dancing consistently since the age of three and training at Fancy Feet Dance Studio since the age of six, she has been exposed to a wide variety of styles. Her knowledge of dance and choreography was expanded at UCLA where she performed and showcased work in multiple productions via UCLA's WAC/Dance department. Michelle teaches at various dance studios and schools around southern California. Last year, she was graced with a wonderful opportunity to become a new teaching artist with the Flourish Foundation, a non-profit that helps support arts education programs within public schools around Los Angeles. Michelle is currently training under house dance pioneer, Rennie Harris as part of his new all-female dance collective based in L.A., called “This Woman.” In addition, she is choreographing for and leading the contemporary branch for the illusionist dance company "Academy of Villains" alongside Taylor Berry and under the direction of Phoenix and Pharside. Additionally, Michelle is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher (500 RYT) with Yoga Alliance and aims to combine her love for mind and body connection with her dance teaching methods. She hopes to inspire others to find their own form of authentic creative expression and to share it with the rest of the world as she aims to do herself!
